Benjamin Schwartz is an English language lecturer at TWCU. He has a master’s degree in Hispanic Studies and post graduate Phd research in Adult Education and 2nd language acquisition. His research areas include program development, program management, distance education, and leadership and technology in higher education. Ben has presented at many international conferences and published research on peer observation, language learning strategies, opportunities for diverse learners across the world, book reviews, and other areas. He has lived and worked in Korea, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Japan. In 2020, Ben served as the director of the English Language Resource Center at Al-Azhar University in Cairo. In 2021, he returned to Japan where he remains today. In his free time, he enjoys cycling with his Tokyo road race club, cooking steak and spending time with his cat and family.
