Cian O'Mahony 講師
Cian was born in the West of Ireland in the beautiful city of Galway, which is currently the European Capital of Culture for 2020. He has a strong history of teaching in his family with his mother, grandmother, and now his only sibling, having worked as educators. He studied and graduated from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology with a BA in Business, and at the University of Southern Queensland with an MA in Applied Linguistics. His research interests include all areas of Teacher Development, Sociolinguistics and Language Testing. In the field of education, he has presented at several conferences, both domestically and internationally. His research has been published on numerous occasions, and thoroughly enjoys the writing process.
Away from education, he enjoys the outdoors immensely and is a keen hiker. He plays tennis, swims and works out regularly. He has a passion for travelling, movies and improving himself at every chance. He is a very motivated and approachable teacher, and is looking forward to meeting everyone in the coming year.
